A little bit about me

Hey

I'm Raluca Dewald. I love designing products that solve deep customer needs with simplicity and elegance.

Since I was a kid I've had a vivid imagination. Using my creativity, learning and building is what keeps me excited. I have a natural curiosity for understanding human behaviour and uncovering people’s hidden motivations. No surprise that this led me to the world of UX!

I worked as a Conversational Designer at Cashew.ai for the last 4 years. I created multimodal experiences that combined voice, visuals, and touch. I have designed and developed Alexa skills for international markets, including the US, UK, Germany and Italy, across industries such as automotive, entertainment, and gaming. My work has been featured in award-winning campaigns, some with budgets exceeding $1 million, showcasing my ability to deliver high quality solutions for global brands. I've worked on the world’s first virtual voice tour guide on Alexa, winning the "Drum Award: most effective use of AI (via Trip Advisor)" and the "Alexa Skills Challenge: Beyond Voice (Best Health & Fitness)".

Right now, I'm learning how to design generative AI for conversations and content to leverage my conversational UX expertise.

I was also included in the Women Leaders of Conversational AI (Class of 2023) list by Bradley Metrok at Project Voice. These women leaders were honored at the Project Voice Women’s Summit, the day before Project Voice 2023 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
